Joseph A. Leto Managing Director, Head of Origination joseph.leto@xlgroup.com 913-253-8421		Joseph joined XL Weather & Energy Inc. as Vice President of Origination in November 2002 and was responsible for starting the Contingent Risk Origination Group. Joe leads the origination group, which has rapidly become an industry leader designing innovative contingent risk management solutions for customers. Prior to joining XLWE, he was Vice President of Origination at Aquila Energy Marketing, growing the East Group to a profit center of ten people responsible for power and gas origination. Joe used his extensive energy industry experience to develop, negotiate and execute highly structured risk management solutions for utilities and energy companies nationwide. He started his energy career with KeySpan Energy, formerly known as the Long Island Lighting Company, and during his 17 years served in various levels of management positions in all aspects of Electric System Operations. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Long Island University and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University.



Jon Cassity Vice President jon.cassity@xlgroup.com 913-253-8426		Jon is responsible for originating weather and contingent risk business in Europe and Western North America. Prior to joining XL, he managed PacifiCorp's IRP analytical team. Jon’s team developed the fundamental power cost and risk analysis driving PacifiCorp's 2003 Integrated Resource Plan, addressing issues such as load and resource variability, supply adequacy and resource mix optimization. Before joining PacifiCorp, he served as the Vice President of Western Origination at Aquila. There he managed the team responsible for power origination in the WECC. At Aquila he and his team developed, negotiated and executed a broad range of structured transactions for utilities and energy companies. He received his Bachelor in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University his MBA from Drake University and is a CFA Charterholder.



Kurt Nuss Vice President kurt.nuss@xlgroup.com 913-253-8422		Kurt is responsible for originating weather and contingent risk business within the North American power and natural gas industries. Prior to joining XLWE, Kurt was a Director of Origination at Aquila Energy, concentrating his efforts on customized gas and power energy products and hedges for clients in the Northeastern United States. Prior to joining Aquila Energy, he worked for Black & Veatch in their Power Division as a chemical design engineer for both domestic and international power plant projects. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University and also graduated with honors from the University of Kansas with a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management. Kurt is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Kansas.



Paul Wohl Vice President paul.wohl@xlgroup.com 913-253-8423		Paul is responsible for originating weather and contingent risk business within the United States power and natural gas industry. Prior to joining XLWE, Paul was a director in the northeast origination group at Aquila Energy, providing risk management solutions and asset monetization structures for utilities and municipalities in the northeast. Prior to returning to Aquila Energy, he worked for Coral Energy, a subsidiary of Shell North America, providing commodity requirements and risk management solutions to utilities in the mid-continent. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska, a Masters of Science degree from Central Michigan University, and graduated from the United States Army War College.
